The new windows in Henry's room. Though they look like double-hungs, they're actually casements. Real double-hung windows of the same size would not be able to open far enough to meet the bedroom egress requirement in the building code.
This wall in the laundry room is one of the busiest in the house. We had them run a gas pipe even though we have an electric dryer. In case we ever switch, it's a lot cheaper to do it now than a few years down the line.
This funky plumbing is a "Johnson Tee" for the dishwasher drain. We won't have anywhere to install a normal air gap, so this is required by code to prevent siphoning. There's a little air vent on the outside of the house.
