Since the beginning of the project, the living room has been the construction office. They've held off on cutting the new door through to the hallway to minimize the disruption, but they could wait no longer. The old door, now blocked by the stairs, was on the right.
These tie-down plates are to keep the house from hopping off the foundation in an earthquake.
Hooking into the new electrical panel. The black iron pipe running across the top of the panel is a gas line. It will have to be moved; a gas line touching an electrical panel is not to code. Not sure how that happened...
