The Snocoach descends a very steep road onto the surface of the glacier. Strictly speaking, this is part of the glacier, too. There's a thin layer of rock atop the ice here on the edge of the glacier.
Naturally, the very worst weather of the day was when we were out on the glacier. It was cold, rainy, and windy. We had about 15 minutes to walk around, but everyone was back on the coach in 5.
If I remember right, this is Andromeda Glacier.
