This building was built in Copenhagen circa 1683. In 1944, it was disassembled and put in storage by the Copenhagen City Museum, with the hope that it would one day become the centerpiece of Copenhagen's own version of Den Gamle By. By the 1990s, it was clear that wasn't going to happen, so it was moved to Aarhus. The reconstructed and restored building finally opened here in 2009.
