The morning we were leaving Cortina was beautiful. This shot was taken from our hotel balcony. There's a cable car that runs from the town up to the station on the wooded hill in the foreground of this picture. A separate cable car then heads up to the station in the upper right. We never did ride any of Cortina's cable cars.

As Kathy was checking out of the hotel in Cortina, she mentioned our plans for the day and got a recommendation for a different route to take. So off we went over Passo Giau.
